According to vedic scriptures, a Yagya is an auspicious or
sacred ceremony with a purpose - to bring peace, prosperity and
good health to a community and the world.
Traditionally in a Yagya, Sanskrit verses are chanted and
offerings are made into a sacred fire.
For the first time in the US, His Holiness Sri Sri Ravi Shankar
will be presiding a Devi Yagya or Light of Peace Celebration to
Mother Divine. His Holiness, founder of the renowned spiritual
and humanitarian organization, The Art of Living, will be
leading the audience in a special prayer and meditation for
harmony and peace in the entire world. The Devi Yagya will be
the culmination of a 4-day advance meditation course with
around 2500 participants from across the nation.
His Holiness led such a Yagya’s or Light of peace celebration,
in April in Bali, Indonesia. Thousands from around the world
gathered to witness this event as it is believed that such a
ceremony was last performed in Bali in the 14th century.
The positive energy and vibrations emanating from thousands of
people meditating and witnessing the yagya can be very powerful
and uplifting to the environment and rings true in the words of
His Holiness, “The rituals will be felt in waves around the
world”.
Be a part of this phenomenal celebration that will deepen the
peace within you and widen the harmony in your environment.
