Several special Masses and concerts are scheduled 
this weekend to observe Good Friday and the Easter 
holiday.

On Friday, April 14 the Trinity College Concert 
Choir and the Connecticut College Chamber chorus 
present the Bach B-Minor Mass at the Trinity 
College Chapel in Hartford at 8 p.m.

The concert is conducted by Professor Gerald 
Moshell and features a professional orchestra and 
student soloists. The College Chapel is on the 
campus of Trinity College, 300 Summit St., in 
Hartford

Also on Friday, the combined choirs of First Church 
of Christ in Wethersfield, Bethany Covenant Church 
in Berlin and the Festival Orchestra under the 
direction of David Spicer perform "The Passion 
According to Saint John" by Johann Sebastian Bach 
at First Church of Christ in observance of Good 
Friday.

The free concert starts at 7 p.m. Child care is 
provided for those under 8. The church is at 250

An Easter Sunday Concert is set for the Cathedral 
of St. Joseph in Hartford at 10 a.m. featuring the 
Soli Deo Gloria Orchestra. The free performance is 
open to the public, preceding a Mass at 11 a.m. The 
cathedral is at 140 Farmington Ave., Hartford.
